I’ve had many Apple Music subscribers come up to me saying that they cannot share a song on their Instagram Story. If you’re dealing with this issue, here is a quick fix for you.
- Choose an Apple Music song.
- Tap the three dots next to the song.
- Tap Share Song.
- Swipe right until you see the “More” option, then tap on it.
- Do not tap the first Instagram icon you see.
- Scroll down and tap the other Instagram icon.
Once you’ve tapped the second Instagram icon on the bottom, the app is going to create an Instagram Story post with the song from Apple Music you have chosen.
The Apple Music and Instagram Story issue is a well-known bug among iPhone users. It’s not related to the iOS version because different iOS versions experience the same thing.
Do not tap the first Instagram icon after you tap “Share Song”
The first button does not let you share a song on Instagram Story, instead, it only lets you share the song as a message to people. But that’s now what we want.
To share a song from Apple Music to Instagram Story, you need to tap the second Instagram icon (at the bottom) right after you tap the “More” option.
