What Happens When You Clear Cache on Spotify?

When you clear the cache on Spotify, you are essentially deleting temporary files that the app has stored on your device. It’s safe and won’t delete your Spotify account.

The cache is where Spotify stores certain data, such as album art, playlists, and recently played tracks, in order to make the app run faster and reduce data usage.

Clearing the cache will essentially force the app to refresh its data, which can help resolve any issues that may be caused by corrupted or outdated data.

Additionally, clearing the cache on Spotify may also resolve some issues with the app, such as if the app is running slowly or if you’re experiencing playback issues.

Keep in mind that Spotify will load slower after you’ve cleared its cache as it rebuilds its cache over time as you use it. You should see improved app performance and reduced data usage.
